The correct position of the sound post is behind the bridge foot (toward the tailpiece), as seen in the above
diagram. Generally, if the sound post is too short, the upper wing of the f hole will sink with the strings tensioned
and the post in the above position. If it is to tall, the wing will protrude. Adjust as neccessary.
